Comunidad Violeta

Comunidad Violeta is our Montessori environment for infants beginning at six months of age. During this extraordinary period of life, babies are building trust, developing movement, absorbing language, and discovering the world through their senses.

Our carefully prepared environment offers freedom to move, opportunities for exploration, and individualized care that respects each child’s natural rhythm. Low shelves, natural materials, movement areas, and sensory experiences invite infants to explore independently while feeling safe, respected, and supported by responsive, nurturing guides. Guided entirely in Spanish, our educators foster meaningful relationships while encouraging each infant’s growing independence, curiosity, and confidence.
In Comunidad Violeta, every interaction is intentional, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning and a joyful transition into our
toddler community.

Comunidad Verde & Azul

Two of our Spanish Immersion Montessori classroom communities are specifically designed for children aged 14 months to 36 months of age: Comunidad Verde and Comunidad Azul.

These two communities are led by trained Montessori guides for children ages 0 to 3 years of age. These are environments that have been specially prepared for children in a Comunidad Infantil, that is, a Montessori Toddler program for children who are walking but are not yet 3 years of age.

Within this holistic framework, Comunidad Infantil programs at De Colores Montessori are based on the belief that young toddlers need consistent nurturing, caring, and love. They thrive in the company of adults who are well prepared and knowledgeable in sound principles of child development and the Montessori method.

Our Commitment:

image

The Comunidad Verde and Comunidad Azul communities maintain a commitment to the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth of the child in a Spanish Immersion environment. Learning is seen as a developmental process that occurs naturally and progressively within a stimulating and nurturing environment.

As children transition from young toddlers in Comunidad Verde to older toddlers in Comunidad Azul, our caregivers will adapt to the changing needs of the child, assuring that they are provided stimulating and appropriate development and learning experiences.

The De Colores Montessori caregivers offer a wide variety of interesting play Spanish immersion experiences geared toward each child’s developmental level so that they have sufficient opportunity to explore, manipulate, and come to a better understanding of the world through their own efforts.
