Age groups
The age division is based on the age of each child on September 30th each year, and the children typically transition from one program to another every September.
Every program in De Colores Montessori is based on a Montessori perspective of the development and education of the child. This happens in a Spanish language immersion environment.
The Montessori education holds the premise that every person finds their identity, sense, and purpose through the connections with their community, natural life, and human values such as compassion and peace.
Our Community
Within Montessori education, De Colores Montessori pays special attention to the community. The Montessori classroom environment is usually seen as a community on its own, which is also part of the school community, which itself is part of the community of the village, the town, the city, and extends to the community that is humankind.
